Vermiculite is a naturally occurring mineral that expands into lightweight, highly absorbent particles when heated — improving soil aeration, water retention, and root development.

It is inorganic, non-toxic and inert.

What about asbestos?

Our vermiculite is certified asbestos-free.

A historical contamination issue from a single mine decades ago created a misconception about vermiculite safety. That mine is no longer in operation.
